Why This Site?

Thank you for coming to visit the Rightly Dividing website. This website was put together to be a repository of information for those attending Lake City Baptist Church, and those seeking to educate themselves in the Christian Faith by “Rightly Dividing” the Word of Truth.

There is a lot of information available in digital format, and if I do not know something about the author or poster of the material, I have to be very careful of it’s content. For a believer who is new to the Christian Faith, or does not know their Bible well, this is actually cause for concern. You may very well be led astray by false or misleading doctrine.

On the other hand, there is good material available. And, aside from your Bible, it is a good thing to read and study from good material others have written. Christians have always been those who read, study, and pass along what they learn.

As I personally browse and study, I often find the actual volume of even good  information overwhelming, and difficult to sort through, causing me often to not use it, or bypass it.

Rightly Dividing was started to be then a “filter” for some of this information. I am not out to write all of the material used here myself, much of it will simply be reposted with permission. But, on a given topic, we will only post a couple of simple conclusive articles for you to use or study from. In our links section, you will find places where further information can be found should you desire to further your studies. While we may never agree with everything someone writes, we will only post links where we do agree with the vast majority of material written.
